5G/6G Test Engineer

Role scope
We are looking for a 5G/6G Test Engineer to verify and validate our advanced telecom solutions. You will design and execute test strategies for RAN, Core, and O-RAN components, ensuring compliance with 3GPP, O-RAN, and ETSI standards, as well as meeting performance, reliability, and interoperability requirements.
Work model: only in a hybrid/onsite model (2–3 days from the office).
Responsibilities
Develop and execute test plans for functional, integration, performance, and interoperability testing.
Validate 5G NR and O-RAN network elements (CU, DU, RIC, Core) against 3GPP/O-RAN/ETSI specifications.
Use test tools (Viavi, Amarisoft, Keysight, Wireshark, Tems Investigation), to simulate network conditions and analyze results.
Automate test cases using scripting languages (Python, Bash) and CI/CD integration.
Perform field tests, regression, conformance, and stress testing for new features and software releases.
Collaborate with protocol engineers, system architects, delivery and integration engineers to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and results.
Requirements
Knowledge of mobile network protocols (PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC, NGAP, O-RAN interfaces).
Hands-on experience with telecom testing tools (like TESM Investigation, Wireshark) and environments.
Familiarity with Linux systems, adb and scripting for test automation.
Understanding of 3GPP, O-RAN, and ETSI standardization frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Very good English (spoken/written).
Hybrid/onsite — minimum 2-3 days per week in the office.
Additional Advantages
Experience in 5G Core and UE testing, interoperability, and performance benchmarking.
Familiarity with virtualization, containerization, and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of security testing for telecom networks.
