Software Development Manager
Build the future of ultra-resilient connectivity!
Role scope
Own the end-to-end software development process and quality flow into production for IS-Wireless products. You'll lead and mentor engineers/developers, establish coding standards, manage code reviews, decide on merge order, and design/operate CI/CD pipelines that keep our releases fast, reliable, and secure powering mission-critical and ultra-resilient networks.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor engineers/developers managing code reviews, merge order, and development processes; grow a high-performance culture.
Establish and enforce coding standards for real-time full telco stack, review guidelines, and quality gates (static analysis, unit/integration coverage, SAST).
Define and own version control, branching strategies, and integration processes across multiple products and repositories.
Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/Jenkins/GitHub Actions) for build, test, packaging, and deployment.
Select and govern engineering tooling (SCM, CI/CD, testing, code quality, observability) and drive continuous improvement.
Plan releases with Product/Architecture teams; balance scope, quality, and timelines; report delivery health (DORA, SLA).
Automate testing workflows (unit, integration, contract, performance), artifact/version management, and release processes.
Champion DevSecOps practices (secrets management, dependency scanning, SBOM, supply-chain security).
Coordinate with Security/QA to enforce quality gates and secure-by-default practices.
Drive incident post-mortems, risk management, and compliance initiatives.
Requirements
Proven experience leading Software Development / DevOps teams and shipping complex products.
Expert knowledge of Git workflows, advanced merge/branching strategies, and integration at scale (monorepo/multirepo).
Hands-on expertise with CI/CD platforms, Infrastructure-as-Code, and containerization (Docker; Kubernetes).
Strong background in code quality & security tools (e.g., SonarQube, linters, SAST/DAST) and modern DevOps practices.
Excellent project management, stakeholder communication, decision-making, and debugging skills.
Solid grasp of SDLC, systems thinking, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Very good English (spoken/written).
Additional Advantages
Telecom domain exposure (4G/5G, O-RAN, ETSI/3GPP) or other safety/mission-critical systems.
Experience defining SDLC policy, compliance checkpoints, and change management processes.
Knowledge of build systems (Maven/Gradle/CMake), artifact registries, and release management.
Familiarity with performance testing, reliability engineering, and DORA/SLAs.
Budgeting/vendor management for engineering platforms and tooling.
